In 1947, C. H. Page Bedding Company was started by Cloyd H. Page in partnership with two other gentlemen. The original factory was located in the Hornerstown area of Johnstown, PA and employed approximately 12 people. Cloyd had acquired his mattress-making experience while working for the National Mattress Company, also located in Johnstown before embarking on his own venture. He took care of all the bookkeeping and sales for the company while the two partners worked in production.

During the 1950s and 1960s, C. H. Page Bedding manufactured mattresses for Ther-A-Pedic, and later for Spring Air. By having name brand recognition, the company was able to sustain sales growth, increase production, and add employees to accommodate the increasing need for products.

In 1966, Cloyd and his partners dissolved the original C. H. Page Bedding Company and he started a new company called Page Foam Cushioned Products Company. Located in another building in the Hornerstown area, his focus was manufacturing foam cushions and mattresses for the recreational vehicle industry and to supply mattresses to camps, nursing homes, and colleges. During the late 1960s, Cloyd's son, Walter, would come home from college on weekends to stuff cushions and load trailers for delivery.

In the early 1970s, a second factory was opened in Indianapolis, IN, managed by Cloyd's daughter, Joyce, and her husband, Skip. This location allowed the family to better serve recreational vehicle manufacturers located in the Midwest.

In 1977, Cloyd Page suffered a stroke and was unable to continue directing his company. He retired in 1978 naming Walter president of the Hornerstown location.

Under Walter's direction, a retail outlet "Page's Factory to You" was founded. This retail outlet, located on Main Street in Johnstown, PA, enabled the company to feature it's own name brand mattress line at factory-direct prices.

In 1982, the "Page's Factory to You" name was discontinued and the name "Page Bedding Company" was resurrected. Walter felt that the name "Page Bedding" had been connected with quality bedding at a fair price and wanted to go back to the name that reflected his father's pride in manufacturing.

In August, 1990, Page Foam Cushioned Products moved into a newly constructed 30,000-square-foot facility located in the Richland Township area of Johnstown. In 1993 Page, was contacted by an area ski resort familiar with our capabilities and began manufacturing safety padding for their hydrant and snow making equipment. Page also now has a focus on specialty sewing. We manufacture different products based on any specific customers needs. One of the main areas is still RV and travel trailer seat cushions and sleep surfaces dating back our roots in the 1960s.

The family business will continue to grow as Cloyd Page's grandchildren are already involved in the company operations. Tim is the President and Alison is currently taking care of the day-to-day Human Resources functions. We have also added an additional 10,000 square feet of warehouse space at our current location in Richland Township to help facilitate our growing production needs.
